The Division Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs at Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company. The ideal candidate is proactive, has experience in a manufacturing environment managing multiple site safety program, and effectively collaborates with leadership to develop a culture of behavioral-based safety. The Division Safety Managerdirects, develops, and oversees the general health and safety policies and procedures of the Division.

Develops a systemic process to collect data and analyze the causes of accidents and generate required reporting. Additionally,Division Safety Manager implements initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the Safety Department and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.

This position is in McKinney, Texas and reports to the Division HR Manager.

• Manage a comprehensive multi-site safety program including prevention, inspection, investigation, and recording of incidents and related costs.
• Detect hazardous conditions, track and measure results and recommend as well as implement appropriate actions.
• Provide leadership, training, and analysis to leadership, managers, and employees in the identification of potential hazards and accident prevention.
• Oversee the Division’s OSHA and worker’s compensation program, including investigations, reporting, and collection of information for claims management.
• Oversee the various safety committees ensuring effectiveness
• Develop and implement site specific safety training.
• Develop, maintain and communicate the plant’s emergency programs, ensuring proper training and certification.
• Develop and implement preventive or corrective measures relating to processes, machinery layout, plant ergonomics, and/or personal protective equipment.
• Proactively streamline safety processes and automate as appropriate.
• Ensures the workplace is in compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations and that periodic safety audits are conducted.
• Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Coordinate with OSHA inspectors, fire department inspections, and PACCAR insurance carriers.
• Benchmark safety programs with other PACCAR locations as well as suppliers and PACCAR peer companies.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Assist in basic first aid treatment and other duties as needed.

• 5-7 years of industrial safety and health experience.
• Professional certification in safety, industrial hygiene or hazardous materials preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, or related field required.
• Master's Degree in applicable field preferred.
