Senior Project Manager - Multifamily Construction
SCI, the leader in real estate executive search, has been retained to identify a Senior Project Manager for a leading national multifamily real estate investment and development firm.
The Senior Project Manager will provide full project leadership across large-scale stick frame/podium/wrap multifamily developments, serving as the key liaison between ownership and the General Contractor. This role oversees all aspects of project execution—from early design and preconstruction through budgeting, scheduling, construction oversight, QA/QC, close‑out, and warranty.
This is an opportunity to guide complex, high‑value developments while partnering closely with internal development, preconstruction, and operations teams.
We are also conducting a separate search for the same role in Houston.
Key Responsibilities- Direct oversight of General Contractors throughout all project phases
- Lead preconstruction coordination, cost review, and schedule development
- Review GC pricing, budgets, and technical construction issues
- Maintain rigorous schedule, quality, and cost controls
- Conduct site visits, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure safety & compliance
- Lead project kickoff, milestone, and turnover meetings
- Partner with operations leadership on performance, progress, and forecasting
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of multifamily construction experience required
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage GC relationships
