We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive On-Site Project Cost Controller to support construction projects located at Tesla facilities in Austin, TX
. This role is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reporting all financial aspects of the project directly on-site. The Cost Controller works closely with project managers, site engineers, and the finance team to manage budgets, track costs, forecast financial performance, and ensure projects remain within approved financial plans.
- Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets and forecasts
- Track daily project costs (labor, materials, subcontractors)
- Prepare and deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
- Identify cost variances, risks, and recommend corrective actions
- Review and approve purchase orders, change orders, invoices, and client submissions
- Ensure compliance with contracts, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or related field
- 3–5 years of cost control or financial management experience in construction (on-site experience preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Oracle Net Suite) and advanced Excel
