Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Atlas is a national leader in civil engineering and environmental consulting, headquartered in Denver, CO. We are recruiting a Texas Division Manager for our Infrastructure team. The role leads a profit and loss center and drives business growth across Texas.
Job Responsibilities- Safety: Drive a culture of safety first, meeting Health and Safety metrics across Texas and taking corrective actions.
- Strategy: Serve as a senior leader in Texas, contributing to the strategic direction of the firm and ensuring alignment with the overall Infrastructure Strategic Plan.
- Growth: Develop, lead, and execute Texas strategic growth plans in partnership with the Infrastructure Business Development team; maintain client satisfaction; support win work activities through capture plans and risk management.
- Operations: Lead the development of the annual Texas business plan, budget, and forecast; monitor month-to-month operational and financial performance and cash flow.
- People: Retain, develop, and reward a high-performing team; recruit new talent to drive growth and embed Atlas values of Life, Heart, Trust, and Mastery.
- Project Delivery: Promote strong project management with on-time, in-budget, quality delivery; serve as Principal‑in‑Charge or PM on key projects and partner with regional delivery managers.
- BSCE or MSCE preferred.
- 18 years minimum professional experience required.
- Willing to accept another degree with more experience, as long as candidate has shown experience leading a similar business.
- Experience with integrating companies and with private equity ownership is a plus.
- Lead a business operation in Texas within the engineering‑construction industry with revenue of at least $50M/year.
- Deep client service/sales experience, including client relationships within Texas.
- Strategic planning experience.
- Proven ability to lead and grow a business at a high growth rate.
- Proven people leader with talent attraction, development, and retention.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and multitask.
- Outgoing, self‑starter with sales orientation, optimism, and drive.
- Strong collaborator, creative thinker, and problem solver for project delivery challenges.
