** Purpose
* * Reporting to the Director of Accreditation and Assessment, the Unit Assessment Manager manages the operational functions required for outcomes assessment, continuous improvement, and institutional-effectiveness documentation across service, support, and administrative units.  The position supports the Director of Accreditation and Assessment in ensuring institutional readiness for SACSCOC expectations related to service, support, and administrative unit assessment and institutional effectiveness. It provides operational leadership, analytical expertise, and cross-university coordination for outcomes development, unit assessment, and continuous improvement across these units.

The Unit Assessment Manager advances a data-informed culture of institutional effectiveness by supporting units in mission and outcomes alignment, measurable outcomes development, assessment planning, service improvement, and evidence-based decision-making.  This role serves as the campus-wide operational lead for service, support, and administrative unit assessment workflows and strengthens UT Austin's readiness for applicable federal, state, and SACSCOC expectations related to unit assessment and institutional effectiveness.

The position supports all relevant SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation in which unit outcomes and effectiveness are implicated; responsibilities are not restricted to any single section of the SACSCOC Principles. While the Director of Accreditation and Assessment defines institutional strategy, policy interpretation, and compliance direction, the Unit Assessment Manager manages the operational functions that implement those priorities.

* Provide guidance on assessment methods, data collection strategies, rubric design, and evidence-based continuous improvement efforts for staff, unit leaders, and administrators.
* Produce summaries, dashboards, and analytic reports that distill assessment findings for internal and external stakeholders.
