Material Quality Technician – Samsung Semiconductor

The mission of Material Technology is to provide Samsung FABs with the highest quality raw materials and analysis in the world. By driving supplier and material management, we support fab operations through quality assurance, data analysis, problem solving, and responsive communication with customers.

• Interact and manage multiple material suppliers for quality, supply chain management, technical support, improvements, root cause investigations, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
• Review SPC charts for incoming material and make judgments for disposition.
• Work with Fab Engineering groups to execute material lot qualifications.
• Collaborate closely with Fab/Yield Engineering, Purchasing, Facilities, and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
• Review supplier incident reports and evaluate the strength of countermeasures per SAS MT supplier requirements.
• Partner with material engineers on improvement project execution.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Procurement, and Warehouse staff on timely material delivery.
• Develop expertise in SAS material and procurement systems.
• Complete projects promptly with strong attention to detail and submit regular reports as required.
• Create SOPs, optimize procedures, and mentor the team on these items.
• Support group and company key metrics.
• Perform other duties as required for factory operation.

• High School Diploma or technical school certification preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• Experience in semiconductor or high‑volume technical manufacturing preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 – $60.40 per hour. Total compensation will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs based on performance.
