PGS Worldwide is seeking Electronic Assemblers in Austin, Texas for onsite contract-to-hire roles supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will focus on precision hand soldering, electronic assembly, rework, connector installation, and epoxy/tack-bond applications in a production environment.
Required Skills- Hands-on soldering experience.
- Experience performing rework on electronic or electromechanical assemblies.
- Mechanical assembly and/or epoxy/tack-bond experience.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Ability to perform detailed assembly work to production and quality requirements.
- Ability to become solder certified.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience soldering to IPC Class 3 standards.
- J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 experience or certification.
- Experience with connector installation.
- Selective soldering or high-volume wave soldering experience.
- AOI or AXI/X-ray inspection experience.
- Experience using solder reflow ovens, semi-automated pick-and-place equipment, or MRP/data-collection systems.
- Assemble and modify electronic and electromechanical subassemblies.
- Perform hand soldering, rework, connector installation, and epoxy applications.
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality and conformance.
- Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, process plans, and production documentation.
- Use fixtures and production equipment to complete assemblies accurately.
- Support cleanroom production activities and self-inspection requirements.
- 2nd Shift: Monday Thursday, approximately 4:30 PM 3:00 AM
- Weekend Shift: Friday Sunday, 3/12 schedule
- $29.70 per hour, including applicable shift differential.
