Modern Wisdom — one of the world’s leading long‑form podcasts exploring human behavior, philosophy, performance, and culture — is opening a brand‑new studio in Austin and expanding our team. We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and incredibly hard‑working Social Media Manager to help take the brand to the next level.

As our Social Media Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of all social media and digital content for the Modern Wisdom ecosystem. You’ll craft compelling content, grow our audience across platforms, shape our email newsletter, and ensure our brand voice is consistent, intelligent, and engaging.

This role requires high agency, creativity, and the ability to move fast while thinking strategically.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the podcast’s goals.
• Create, curate, and manage daily content across all social platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, Twitter/X, Linked In, etc.).
• Oversee the Modern Wisdom email newsletter, including list‑growth strategies and audience engagement.
• Contribute to the brand’s overall marketing direction, including campaigns, launches, partnerships, and live tour moments.
• Monitor platform trends and leverage insights to optimize performance and audience growth.
• Collaborate closely with Chris and the production team to amplify key episodes, guest appearances, and studio projects.
• Manage paid social campaigns to increase visibility and listener growth.
• Engage with the audience, respond to comments, and maintain a thoughtful community presence.

• Proven experience in social media management, ideally in podcasting, media, or creator‑led brands.
• Strong understanding of social platforms, digital marketing, analytics, and audience behavior.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Highly creative, highly organized, and capable of executing at a fast but high‑quality level.
• A proactive problem solver with high agency who can operate independently and drive initiatives forward.
• Passion for the themes and ideas explored on Modern Wisdom.
