Manager, Communications

The Manager serves as a program and project-level day-to-day lead on up to four accounts.
Essential Functions- Works with client and team to consistently implement communications strategies and integrated campaigns that drive results.
- Maintains excellent media relationships and develops and pitches compelling story angles.
- Hones client‑service skills and planning expertise, working closely with strategic account leads.
- Produces client‑ready materials, thoughtful analysis, and data‑driven measurement reports.
- Practices INK's "Be There Before" methodology—staying ahead of industry and media trends, anticipating client needs and opportunities, and sharing insights generously with teams and clients.
- Embodies INK values and culture.
- Commits to professional development, mentoring associate‑level INKers through day‑to‑day coaching and regular check‑ins.
- Works within the client services and media relations teams, reporting to and being coached by INK's Director and/or VP‑level executives.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- 5+ years of full‑time communications experience; agency setting preferred.
- Experience in B2B, tech, or renewable energy preferred.
- Experience with client relations.
- Excellent writing skills and clear communication.
- Strong pitching skills and media relationships.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple client responsibilities.
- Ability to learn and understand complex, technical topics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
- Hybrid work environment from our Austin or Denver offices.
