We are seeking a highly creative, organized, and results-driven Area Marketing Manager to lead local marketing initiatives, drive revenue-generating programs, and support brand growth across our Austin and Dallas properties.
Position Overview The Area Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing strategic marketing initiatives that support revenue generation, brand positioning, guest acquisition, and market share growth across Hotel ZaZa Austin and Hotel ZaZa Dallas. Based in Austin, this role serves as the primary on-property marketing resource for both markets and works closely with hotel leadership, sales, food and beverage, operations, and the corporate marketing team to ensure all marketing efforts align with Hotel ZaZa's luxury brand standards and business objectives.
The ideal candidate is an organized operator with strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple activations, partnerships, and campaigns across two markets simultaneously. This position requires regular travel to Dallas and flexibility to support evening and weekend events, activations, and promotional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Execute marketing plans and initiatives that support occupancy, food and beverage revenue, spa utilization, and overall property performance across Austin and Dallas.
Plan and coordinate on-property and off-property activations, events, partnerships, and promotional campaigns.
Develop event documentation, including timelines, run-of-show materials, internal communications, and operational coordination with property teams.
Serve as the face of Hotel ZaZa at local activations, networking events, community partnerships, and promotional engagements.
Maintain a regular presence at both Austin and Dallas properties to support marketing initiatives and ensure brand consistency.
Act as the primary liaison for local partnerships, sponsor ships, influencers, media contacts, and community organizations.
Source, negotiate, and manage vendors, entertainment partners, and event suppliers for marketing campaigns and special events.
Manage purchase orders, invoices, budget tracking, and marketing expenditures for both markets.
Partner with the design, social media, and corporate marketing teams to develop collateral, signage, promotional materials, digital content, and campaign assets.
Coordinate content capture opportunities, including photography, videography, social media content, and influencer partnerships.
Manage email marketing campaigns including content development, audience segmentation, deployment, and performance reporting.
Monitor marketing performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, hospitality developments, and emerging opportunities in both Austin and Dallas.
Ensure all marketing efforts comply with company standards, brand guidelines, and applicable legal requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive marketing, events, hospitality, lifestyle, luxury brand, or related experience.
Proven experience managing multiple projects across multiple locations or markets.
Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience coordinating events, activations, partnerships, and experiential marketing initiatives.
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Hands-on experience with purchase orders, invoicing, and budget management.
Experience with email marketing platforms, content planning, and audience segmentation.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
