About SuperstatSuperstat is one of the fastest growing sports tech startups in the world. We turn sports game film into pro-level sports stats using computer vision. Think ESPN level data but for High school, Rep or even Monday night social sport with your friends!
Since launching at the start of this year, we have:
Raised $3.5M from Blackbird VC
Grown to 5,000+ teams using Superstat
Launched the worldâs fastest sports computer vision model.
Weâre looking for a content lead who can turn Superstat, our users (players, coaches, clubs) and our founders into stories people want to follow. Someone who can spot an interesting moment, a story and find a hook that gets the audience engaged and wanting to follow along.
Youâll build Superstatâs organic social media channels and the personal brands of our founders. Youâll come up with the content ideas, create the content and become part of the story yourself.
The roleYour time will be split roughly equally between creating Superstat content and Founder/Team member content:
Superstat: build an audience of sports coaches, parents and players through user stories, highlights, education and the story of Superstat. Turn that interest into people trying the app and uploading their first game.
Founders and Team: document the journey of building Superstat. Create personal brands that attract potential teammates, new users and partnerships.
Think of it as an ongoing series about building Superstat. The team are recurring characters, including yourself, and your job is to find the stories that make people want to come back.
This is (at least initially) a solo production role. Youâll own content ideas, scripting, filming, editing, writing, publishing and performance analysis.
What youâll doFind stories and hooks in customer experiences, founder conversations, sports and everyday company life.
Film and edit short videos for Instagram, Tik Tok and You Tube Shorts, alongside long-form You Tube videos.
Help the Superstat team communicate naturally in their own voices, from directing a shoot to asking questions that bring out engaging stories.
Present on camera, interview people and become a familiar face of Superstat.
Create supporting Linked In and X posts, photos and carousels.
Plan filming, organise footage and keep the accounts publishing consistently.
Use audience response, retention and customer actions to improve the next round of content.
Your strongest skill is storytelling. You understand why an opening grabs attention, why someone keeps watching and why they would follow an account.
You have good instincts for building a community around a person or product. You can make Superstat a natural part of content its audience already cares about.
Youâre comfortable directing other people, bringing ideas and following through. You can independently shoot, edit and publish, and you enjoy being on camera.
Youâre a sports fan and curious about what players, coaches and parents care about. Sports expertise can develop on the job.
Show us the ability in your work. That could be a personal account, client work, something you made for an employer or a strong demo of what you would create for Superstat.
How weâll workOver your first 90 days, youâll learn the Superstat product, get to know foundersâ voices and establish formats and a publishing routine.
Over the first 90 days, youâll also join the founding team capturing content at sports tech events in Switzerland, Singapore and Sydney (There will be no shortage of content opportunities!)
Each founder/Team member will commit time each week to filming and interviews as needed so youâll have regular access to the people building Superstat.
