The City of Austin Ameri Corps VISTA Program works with City departments and local nonprofits to build capacity, in order to provide resources and services to the Austin neighborhoods and communities that may otherwise be left behind by Austin's historic disparities and future growth. The Ameri Corps members serving with the City of Austin Ameri Corps VISTA Program work in such diverse fields as education, health, waste reduction, and housing to cover the myriad ways poverty affects these neighborhoods and communities.

Member Duties- Expand and improve Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center's adaptation to the community's new free bus pass system, utilizing the community's Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and systems administered by Cap Metro.
- Facilitate the expansion of the Homeless Management Information System across all Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center teams in partnership with the Sunrise data team and community agencies.
- Expand and improve Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center's Client Voice project by applying lessons learned in year 1 and promoting more robust feedback in year 2.
