Seasonal Registered Nurse Med Surg
Join St. David’s Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, as a Seasonal Registered Nurse in Med Surg. This role offers a 32‑week seasonal assignment, working a minimum of 72 hours per pay period with weekend and holiday shifts.
Job SummaryAs a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department standards and state requirements. Collaborate with medical providers and the care team, provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care following the nursing model “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
What You Will Do- Assess patients’ conditions during admission and each shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes.
- Perform procedures and other functions ordered by the medical provider, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- RN license.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Seasonal program requirements—minimum 72 hours per pay period, 4 weekend shifts per 4‑week schedule, 2 holiday shifts per 32‑week period, and temporary status.
- Must be available for 32‑week assignment ending March 31 2026.
