Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Full Time, Memory Care

Join the team at Buckner International – a warm and caring environment where you can inspire happiness in the lives of seniors and vulnerable adults in Austin, TX. The position is full time, onsite (11110 Tom Adams Dr), with a shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

• Assist with accurate implementation of the prescribed health care plan.
• Support daily living activities, including turning and ambulating patients, and delivering food and beverages throughout the day.
• Help patients with personal hygiene, providing bedpans and assisting with bathing.
• Provide adjunct patient care as needed, such as delivering ice packs and dressings to relieve pain.
• Process a wide range of information from other professionals and collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and nurses.
• Closely monitor and record food intake, urinary and fecal output, and share data with medical and nursing staff.

• Current Texas Nurse Aide Certification.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Professional knowledge of basic health care practices, including infection control.
• Ability to instruct residents in health care measures and improve use of medical services.
• Knowledge of use and monitoring of resident restraints as prescribed by physicians.
• Physical ability to perform job requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to use tact and courtesy with coworkers, residents, and families.
