Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Surgical Services Aide, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care that improves lives every day. Your skills and leadership will keep surgical operations running smoothly—from preparing the operating room to supporting patient care and guiding your team. You’ll help create a clean, efficient, and safe environment where patients thrive and staff succeed.

Your responsibilities will include
:

  • Preparing operating rooms by gathering, organizing, and stocking the right equipment, fluids, and supplies to ensure every procedure starts smoothly
  • Safely transporting patients to and from surgical areas, verifying their identity, and following protocols to protect those with special needs or medical devices
  • Turning over operating rooms between procedures and maintaining a safe, sterile environment throughout the day
  • Monitoring equipment and supplies often, identifying issues or repairs needed, and promptly reporting concerns to support smooth, safe surgical operations
  • Leading, training, and mentoring Surgical Services Aides, sharing updates on new processes, and fostering a positive team environment
What qualifications you will need:

Experience

  • At least one year of Surgical Services Aide experience- required

Certification

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
