This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with 6 weekend shifts per schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for our ECMO/CVICU unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care, particularly in managing patients on ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and with complex cardiac conditions. This role requires the ability to handle high-stress situations and provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients in ECMO and CVICU settings
• Administer medications and titrate drips as necessary
• Perform essential procedures including central line and chest tube insertion
• Provide post-operative care for open heart surgery patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythms
• Understanding of hemodynamics and respiratory care
• Familiarity with CRRT, SLED machines, and balloon pumps
• Preferred CVICU charge experience
