Job specification
- Provide emergency care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including trauma, cardiac emergencies, and respiratory issues.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement care plans, and perform necessary interventions promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient management and care coordination.
- Monitor patient progress, document treatments, and responses, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, following infection control protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- At least 1 year of recent acute care emergency room (ER) nursing experience is required.
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to the start date is required.
- An Associate Degree in Nursing or a Registered Nurse Diploma is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained prior to the start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be acquired within 90 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
