Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Rapid Response)

Austin, TX | Acute Care

Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Alternating Weekends | 6-Week Assignment | Expected 48 hours/week

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit supporting 1,000+ deliveries per month
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 in collaboration with charge and co-charge nursing staff
• Perform and assist with SVD, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC procedures
• Operate unit equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Maintain current required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN — all must be included at time of submission

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN
• Demonstrated competency in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• SVE (Sterile Vaginal Exam) competency
• C-Section circulation experience
• No RTO or special scheduling requests can be accommodated for this assignment

• Internal monitor placement competency
• Previous experience in a Level IV or high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
• Team-oriented with a positive, collaborative attitude

• Opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity L&D environment with a well-staffed, experienced team of approximately 150 staff members across a 32-bed unit
• Unit utilizes advanced equipment and technology, offering exposure to a broad range of Labor & Delivery procedures and practices
