American Traveler is hiring an RN for a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry unit on night shift, requiring at least 1 year of cardiac telemetry experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Cares for patients with chest pain, CHF, advanced heart failure, syncope, and those undergoing echocardiograms, stress tests, and diagnostic/interventional heart catheterization
• Handles procedures such as Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR
• Unit overflows to general med/surg and non-cardiac patients as needed
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 18:45-07:15
• Priority floating to Med/Surg required when needed

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

• Opportunity to help stabilize staffing on a unit being rebuilt with new core staff
• Travelers may be asked to help precept and train new hires, including RN Residents
• Looking for candidates with cardiac training and a strong willingness to mentor others
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• Travelers are encouraged to discuss extension opportunities with their manager 45 days before assignment end date
