Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
This is a contractual position for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a medical-surgical setting. The assignment is for 13 weeks on the night shift, working from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. There are no call requirements. Candidates must possess skills in medical-surgical assessment and pharmacology. Key responsibilities include performing essential medical-surgical skills. The unit accommodates 34 beds with a nursing staff ratio of 1:6.
Typical staff includes Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Patient Care Technicians. The unit is equipped with various medical devices such as vital sign monitors and Hoyer lifts. Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Meditech, is beneficial. The ideal candidate is team-oriented and self-motivated. The dress code requires navy scrubs, and certain piercings are not permitted. Recognition programs are in place for outstanding staff performance.
