Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week contract requiring PALS, ACLS, and Phase 1 recovery experience.

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required
• Phase 1 recovery experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Critical care experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Work in the PACU/Recovery unit on the 1st floor of a hospital
• 16-bed unit staffed by 12 nurses, primarily day shift
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1
• Uses IV pumps, arterial lines, BiPAPs, chest tubes, bladder scanners, and Doppler for pulse checks
• Performs procedures including nerve blocks, lumbar punctures, and chest tube placement
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Monday-Friday schedule, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM shifts
• Call requirements of 2-4 shifts per 4-week schedule, including weekend call
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to surgical patients
• Team of experienced day and night shift nurses
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
