Full Time, Salary Range: $40.00 - $48.00 Hourly, Job Shift: Day, The Pre-Operative Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, preparing, and educating surgical patients prior to their procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The Pre-Op RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to verify patient readiness for surgery, complete required assessments and documentation, review diagnostic testing, reconcile medications, and provide pre-operative instructions.
Serves as a patient advocate and plays a critical role in promoting positive surgical outcomes through evaluation, communication, and coordination of care throughout the perioperative experience.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Texas RN license or compact license
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- Preferred experience in perioperative, pre-admission testing, pre-op, PACU, or surgical services nursing
