Eye Care for Animals Far West (ECFA) is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You

As a Vet Tech, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Job Overview:

The Veterinary Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice. Tasks include animal handling, pre, and post‑operative patient care, creating and presenting financial options and estimates, accurately entering service charges into the client database, extensive client interaction, and preparing medications.

Other qualifications include:
  • Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience required
  • Licensed Technician preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in IV catheters placement, blood work, and IV, IM, and SQ injections
  • Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and working with various monitoring equipment
  • Team player
  • Eager to learn and is self‑motivated
  • Enjoys a challenging and fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills (email, uploading/downloading files, typing, etc.)
  • Ability to multi‑task with a smile

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $20 - $25/ hour for non‑licensed techs and $25-30/hour for licensed techs
. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
