Responsibilities
  • Speak with pet owners to obtain a thorough patient history
  • Take vital signs and acquire lab samples
  • Run in-house diagnostics (CBC/Chem/UA, cytologies, etc.)
  • Perform body and dental radiographs
  • Assist with surgeries, monitor pets during and after surgery
  • Administer medications and provide discharge instructions for clients
  • Keep accurate patient records
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of animal care and handling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
  • Patience and empathy for pet owners from all walks of life
  • Fear-free certification is preferred
