Base Pay Range

$16.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Summary

Assists in the process of trimming and removal of trees, clearing and chipping tree debris, and disposing of tree debris.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Work as a member of a tree crew with varying numbers of Grounds workers, Climbers, and Crew Leaders.
  • Assist and support the crew leader and climber in a variety of ways.
  • Perform tree care activities to maintain safe and healthy trees for clients.
  • Set up and clean up job sites.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspection and maintenance.
  • Support other team members in tree care activities.
  • Ensure that all operations, job sites and employees are safe and that the general public is also safe.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members and the public.
Qualifications
  • Demonstration of role‑specific skills or verifiable experience.
  • Knowledge, skill and/or ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
Education and/or Experience
  • Demonstration of role specific skills or verifiable requisite experience.
Language Skills

Ability to comprehend job duties from oral instructions or demonstration.

Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement, volume and distance.
Reasoning Ability
  • Apply critical thinking skills to understand and carry out instructions related to sequential tasks.
  • Perform standardized tasks with occasional variables.
