Urgent Care Veterinarian – Full Time – Thrive Mesquite, TX

From delivering reliable walk‑in, outpatient care for pets with non‑life‑threatening conditions that still need to be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling urgent and emergency cases, demonstrating exceptional medical and diagnostic skills, and displaying a strong commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
• State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.

Thrive Mesquite is an urgent care practice located in Mesquite, Texas focusing on:

• Minor emergencies that are not life‑threatening such as lacerations, limping/painful pets, hypersensitivity reactions, vomiting and/or diarrhea without significant dehydration, ear infections causing discomfort, urinary tract infections, non‑obstructed FLUTD/FUS patients, etc.
• Cases that are referred to by general practice veterinarians because they are unable to see them in a timely manner and fit within the scope of care we provide.

The Urgent Care department has been designed to meet a key need in our community and hospital. We maintain close contact with the primary veterinarians to ensure that patients return for ongoing care with their family veterinarian.
