Position SummaryThe Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and cable components entering the facility meet required quality standards before they are released to production. This role is critical in supporting reliable server assembly operations, improving supplier performance, and maintaining strong quality control processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform incoming inspections on mechanical, electrical, and cable components used in server system assembly.
- Develop and define inspection procedures, sampling plans, and quality standards, including AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) requirements.
- Identify material non‑conformities, generate NCRs (Non‑Conformance Reports), and communicate issues to the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for corrective action.
- Maintain accurate inspection documentation, test data, and traceability records for audits and reporting.
- Support internal quality audits and participate in supplier quality review meetings.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering (PE) and Manufacturing Engineering (ME) teams to assess material issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all inspection tools, gauges, and measurement equipment are properly calibrated and functioning.
- Perform additional duties related to quality control as needed.
- Experience in incoming inspection, quality control, or related roles within electronics or hardware manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components used in server assembly.
- Familiarity with industry standards, including EIA, UL, and ASTM.
- Proficiency with measurement and testing tools such as calipers, multimeters, gauges, and other inspection instruments.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and traceability skills.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple incoming materials and priorities.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, particularly when working with PE, ME, and SQE teams.
