For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Supplier Quality Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This role will build and guide a supplier quality function that supports the company’s growth and operational excellence across a complex supply base. You will partner closely with design, supply chain, and new product introduction teams to strengthen quality controls, improve supplier performance, and drive consistent execution.
The position is focused on rapid response to issues, durable corrective actions, and a strong zero-defect mindset across external partners.
Location:
Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
Responsibilities- Build and lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers
- Collaborate with design and supply chain leaders to enhance supplier quality processes
- Foster a culture of rapid response and long-term corrective actions
- Define and manage quality control and acceptance test procedures with the NPI team
- Lead failure and root cause analysis initiatives
- Develop and maintain supplier quality documentation
- Promote a zero-defect mentality across the supply base
- Monitor and assess supplier performance regarding quality nonconformance
- 5+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a related field
- Proven leadership skills in building and managing teams
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and processes
- Experience with PPAP and vendor compliance
- Ability to conduct failure and root cause analysis effectively
- Familiarity with NPI processes and quality control procedures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
