The Developmental Intelligence Lab, directed by Prof. Chen Yu (https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).), focuses on using state-of-the-art sensing and computing techniques to understand sensorimotor and cognitive processes that support early learning and development. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, this person will work on federally funded research. Lab studies include collecting multimodal behavioral data (e.g., eye tracking, motion tracking, video, and audio data) from naturalistic environments and conducting well-controlled experimental studies in the lab.
The Research Associate will act as lab coordinator and will work closely with the PI and lab group to coordinate day-to-day lab operations.
This is a fixed-term, hourly position for up to 19 hours/week. The ideal candidate would be able to make a two-year commitment.
PurposeThe developmental intelligence lab is hiring a part-time Research Associate to coordinate studies within the lab and to coordinate day-to-day lab operations.
Responsibilities- Collecting data through behavioral experiments
- Managing, coding, and analyzing video data
- Coordinating, training, and working with undergraduate research assistants
- Recruiting and scheduling infants and young children
- Assisting with new experimental setups
- BA or BS in psychology, cognitive science, or related field
- Experience working with infants and young children
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills in a collaborative research environment
- Interest in development and learning
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications- A two-year commitment is preferred.
Salary Range: $20/hr
