The Memory and Aging Lab is hiring a Research Coordinator to manage community-based subject recruitment of ethnoracially varied samples, subject testing, and some data acquisition and analysis. The position offers opportunities for co-authorship of manuscripts and conference presentations, participation in research talks, and auditing of courses.

This is a part‑time, fixed‑term position. It is a 1‑year assignment to start with the chance to renew annually based on performance, research goals, and/or mutual agreement. The expected workload for this role is 19 hours/week.

Research in the Memory and Aging Lab focuses on episodic memory and its underlying neural activity in adults across the lifespan. The lab uses behavioral, EEG, and fMRI methods. Primary duties include community-based participant recruitment and screening through in-person, online, and phone methods, clinical assessments, and cognitive testing of young, middle-aged, and older participants. Secondary duties include data collection using EEG and MRI methods, some data analysis, and coordination of research activities with other lab personnel.

Required Qualifications

B.A./B.S. or equivalent in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. Strong organization, interpersonal, and computer skills; experience working with human subjects; and an interest in human subjects’ research. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish; understanding of cultural psychology; experience in computer programming; knowledge of univariate and/or multivariate statistics; experience with Python and/or RStudio; EEG and/or MRI data acquisition and analysis.

Salary Range

$21/hour
