Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS

The purpose of this position is to support the research and management of the Messing Lab.

• Analyze existing RNA-seq data.
• Perform animal behavior studies, brain microinjections, and histological studies of brain tissue.
• Write and revise manuscripts.
• Provide skilled experimental and reagent support for postdocs and graduate students.

• Minimum of a master's degree in biochemistry, neurosciences, life sciences or related field with two years of related productive laboratory experience.
• Excellent data management and data analysis skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in cell culture.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Environmental Demands:

Physical Tasks:

• Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
• Use of manual dexterity

• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Majority of the time spent standing, walking, or climbing on step stools.

• Some weekend, evening or holiday hours as needed by design of experiments.
