- **** Job Details:**## Purpose The purpose of this position is to support the research and management of the Messing Lab.## Responsibilities
* Analyze existing RNA-seq data.
* Perform animal behavior studies, brain microinjections, and histological studies of brain tissue.
* Write and revise manuscripts.
* Provide skilled experimental and reagent support for postdocs and graduate students.##
Required Qualifications
* Minimum of a master's degree in biochemistry, neurosciences, life sciences or related field with two years of related productive laboratory experience.
* Excellent data management and data analysis skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
* Experience in cell culture.
* Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.*##
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in biochemistry, neurosciences, life sciences or related field with two years of related productive laboratory experience.## Salary Range $60,000## Working Conditions Environmental Demands:
* Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished)

Physical Tasks:
* Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
* Use of manual dexterity
* Climbing of stairs
* Climbing of ladders
* Lifting and moving
* Must be in good physical condition and able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
* Majority of the time spent standing, walking, or climbing on step stools.## Work Shift
* Monday - Friday
