Lead and mentor a pod of trainers building terminal-based chemistry tasks for an AI training and evaluation initiative.
Responsibilities- Review task statements, molecular structures, spectra, datasets, simulation inputs, solutions and automated tests.
- Validate chemical correctness, convergence, numerical tolerances and reproducibility.
- Ensure graders assess meaningful scientific results and cannot be bypassed.
- Review chemical safety concerns, provide actionable feedback and track revisions.
- Allocate work, monitor quality and mentor trainers.
- Ph.D., postdoctoral experience or equivalent advanced experience in chemistry or a related field.
- Strong Python, C/C++, Julia or Fortran skills, with Linux and terminal proficiency.
- Hands-on computational chemistry, molecular simulation, cheminformatics or chemical data analysis experience.
- Experience reviewing scientific code or research outputs and leading small technical teams.
- Excellent written communication and scientific judgment.
- PySCF, Psi4, ORCA, GROMACS, OpenMM, RDKit or related tools
- Docker, Git, automated testing and HPC experience
