TheOpportunity
As Kitchen Leader, you will prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for making sure our food is absolutely delicious. You’ll order food supplies and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders. The role is about promoting teamwork and creating a great customer experience. While on the clock, Kitchen Leaders are always busy on their feet, accomplishing station goals, taking on tasks that need to be done, and pitching in to help teammates.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Ensure food quality by cooking and preparing food to order and following kitchen procedures.
- Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
- Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house Crew and front‑of‑house Crew.
- Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
- Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great service and throughput.
- Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; arrange repairs quickly.
- Maintain safety standards for the kitchen and Crew to prevent injuries or accidents.
- Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
- Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
- Proficiency in spoken, written, and understood primary language(s) of the work location.
- High school diploma.
- Restaurant experience.
