Reports To: Food and Beverage Director
We are seeking a skilled and personable bartender to join our team at the AC Hotel Austin Hill Country and Violet Sky Rooftop Lounge. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, knowledgeable in mixology, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, tools, and supplies.
- Monitor guest behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws and hotel policies.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed, including garnishes, mixers, and spirits.
- Collaborate with restaurant and lounge staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling of food and beverages.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar for service, including opening and closing duties.
- Participate in training sessions and stay updated on new menu items, promotions, and hotel offerings.
- Previous bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, or upscale lounge preferred.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess any required certifications (e.g., TABC, Serv Safe).
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Perform repetitive motions such as shaking, stirring, and pouring.
