Cashier – Luby's Restaurant Company, Austin, TX, US

We are looking for team members who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. As a Cashier, you will provide a blend of hospitality and operations, including taking orders, processing payments, keeping the front of the house neat and orderly, restocking items, and answering the phone. The primary focus is accurate point-of-sale transactions and friendly service to encourage guests to return. Luby's offers growth and career opportunities for positions such as Certified Trainer, Shift Leader, and Management.

• Take orders and process payments with accuracy and friendly service.
• Maintain a clean, organized front of house; restock items as needed.
• Answer the phone and assist guests with inquiries.
• Ensure accurate POS transactions and guest satisfaction to encourage repeat visits.
• Support team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Previous experience is preferred, but training is provided.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must submit to a background check prior to starting any cash handling position and pass Luby's Cashier Certification criteria.
• Good organizational skills.
• Experience with a POS system is a plus.
• Open to varied work schedules and hours depending on restaurant needs.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work as part of a team.
