We are currently looking for the right
Retail Store Management Trainee
to join our Team!
$18.50 to $26.48 per hour
This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $6.94 per hour ON TOP OF YOUR HOURLY RATE.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.
This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
Alongside the Store Manager, this role analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met. You will commit to the asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a wide variety of items including jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
This position offers an hourly wage, PLUS Store Manager Trainees earn commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities of a Store Management TraineeThis is a representative list of duties and not all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
