Channel Account Manager – Sage
We’re looking for a results-driven Channel Account Manager to define and execute the strategic direction for our partner sales—both sell‑to and sell‑through—with select small and medium Sage business partners. In this role you will drive business growth through “go‑big” investment strategies, maximize sales opportunities, and strengthen executive relationships. You’ll be the primary point of contact between Sage and your assigned partners, building joint business plans, aligning go‑to‑market strategies, and ensuring partners have the resources they need to succeed.
Location& Work Style
Hybrid position based on‑site 3 days per week in our Atlanta, GA or Austin, TX office.
Responsibilities- Work with assigned partner(s) in all sales‑based campaigns such as partner marketing efforts, lead generation, prospect qualification, needs analysis, strategic demonstrations, and all phases of the selling cycle.
- Accountable for goals agreed upon by Sage and partner to increase partner product revenue productivity. Track and communicate key performance metrics such as New License Revenue, Product Revenue, Pipeline strength, etc., by month, quarter, and fiscal year – providing course corrections that allow partner to meet or exceed goals.
- Advise partner(s) on marketing activities and tactics, leveraging industry conferences, Sage collateral and events as necessary. Encourage partner to effectively utilize co‑op spend and advise on best practices.
- Create and execute action plans on behalf of partner to engage appropriate Sage cross‑functional teams who contribute to partner sales and development efforts.
- Act as a liaison between partner and other Sage stakeholders (such as RAMs, CAMs, Product Specialists, Professional Services Group, Marketing, etc.) to eliminate redundancy in communication between Sage and the partner.
- 2+ years of successful, quota‑carrying sales experience in a multiple distribution channel environment preferred; field sales experience preferred.
- Ability to execute on a business plan and provide high‑level consultative experience to partner.
- Extensive knowledge of Sage product portfolio.
- Expertise in all aspects of channel relationship management.
- Proven leadership experience – both internal cross‑functional teams and multiple partner teams.
- Demonstrated ability to excel within a cross‑functional team environment to accurately manage and forecast channel sales activities.
- Willingness to travel.
