Position Overview

The Manager in Training program is designed for highly motivated individuals seeking a long-term career in roofing sales and leadership. This role will start with learning the basics of roofing sales, customer relations, and business development. Candidates who demonstrate both strong sales ability and leadership potential will have the opportunity to lead a team of five roofing sales representatives. This is the first step in their leadership journey, which can lead to roles such as Sales Manager, Regional Director, Regional VP, and beyond within the company.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development

Generate and close contracts for residential and commercial roofing projects.

Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, property managers, and business owners.

Conduct property evaluations and provide accurate project estimates.

Educate customers on roofing solutions and financing options.

Drive referrals and maintain a pipeline of potential clients.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service.

Address customer concerns and provide timely solutions.

Maintain a strong company reputation by ensuring client satisfaction (4.5+ Google rating).

Work closely with the Sales Manager and team to achieve sales targets.

Participate in weekly sales training to enhance industry knowledge and skills.

Lead and mentor a team of five roofing sales representatives after demonstrating leadership aptitude.

Reporting & CRM Management

Log sales activity, customer interactions, and referrals in the company CRM.

Provide regular updates on progress and forecasts to management.

Qualifications

Sales

Experience:

Ideally 1+ years in sales (roofing, construction, or home improvement preferred).

Communication

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Customer-Focused:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust.

Tech-Savvy:
Familiarity with CRM tools and ability to manage sales activities digitally.

Reliable Transportation:
Ability to travel locally for client meetings and appointments.

Leadership Potential:
Desire to grow into a management role and lead a sales team.
