Austin, TX. Job . We are seeking a strategic and relationship-focused Sales Development Representative with a focus on initiating and cultivating strategic partnerships. The role requires driving demand generation and fostering engagement with consultants, specifiers, and end-users, aligning outreach with the goals of senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support business development and market expansion. The position supports the Director of A&E in executing HID Global’s strategic vision and strengthening partnerships across the A&E ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industries, and market trends. Analyze competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, email outreach, networking events, and social media. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Reach out to potential clients to understand their needs and present relevant solutions. Initiate and maintain effective communication to foster potential business relationships.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients. Develop a deep understanding of client needs and preferences to tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure a unified approach in achieving business development goals.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to showcase products or services. Clearly articulate value propositions and address client concerns.
  • Work on strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and maintain long-term relationships. Address client feedback and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, including lead generation, conversion rates, and sales performance. Analyze data to refine strategies for improved results.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors. Continuously upgrade product knowledge and sales techniques to adapt to evolving business landscapes.
  • Set and achieve challenging business development targets. Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed goals.
Experience and Background
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in related field.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development roles, demonstrating a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Familiarity with the industry or sector in which the company operates. Knowledge of market trends, competitors, and relevant business factors.
  • Proficient negotiation skills to close deals on favorable terms for both the client and the company.
  • Effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Time management skills to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
