Job Description
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Outside Sales individual to join their team, focusing on selling contaminated site remediation services. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with environmental consulting and engineering firms, governmental agencies, and private industry companies.
Key Qualifications- Experience:
Proven track record in business development, specifically within the contaminated site remediation sector. - Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Superior sales and negotiation abilities.
- Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with CRM programs for tracking sales activities and opportunities.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel daily within the local area.
- Lead Generation & Sales:
Actively engage in daily business development activities, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication to generate sales leads and bid opportunities. - Client Engagement:
Work with environmental consulting and engineering firms, governmental agencies, and private industry companies to build and maintain strong client relationships. - Sales Calls:
Maintain a consistent schedule of weekly face-to-face sales calls with both existing and potential customers. - Lead Follow-up:
Promptly follow up on any leads assigned by the company, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person. - Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with the VP of Sales, senior management, estimators, and project managers to align efforts and achieve sales targets. - Reporting:
Regularly report on sales activities through CRM entries and other required reports. - Travel:
Periodic travel, approximately 30-40%, or as needed.
