The Emerald Cloud Laboratory (ECL) enables life scientists to move out of the lab, and to conduct research entirely from a computer. Stepping away from manual completion of experiments at the bench, scientists on the ECL leverage the remote, automated execution of all standard biology and chemistry experiments in Emerald’s industrial lab facilities, working within a software platform for all stages of research workflows, from experimental design to data analysis.

Our system empowers scientists at Big Pharma companies, startups, and academic laboratories by allowing them to run wet lab experiments from anywhere in the world without ever stepping foot into the lab.

• Provide on-site technical support required to ensure timely execution of experiments within the lab.
• As an Operations Lead, work closely with the Shift Manager on duty to motivate, assist, and provide guidance to 15-25 team members.
• Drive for continuous improvement by resolving logistic issues and identifying ways to improve productivity using data-driven solutions.
• Familiarize yourself with all operations within the lab, including processes, hardware and software used to carry out experiments in the cloud lab.

• You have 2+ years of experience leading small teams to improved productivity & quality (strongly preferred).
• You have 3+ years experience working in a GMP or Life Sciences environment.
• You have experience applying systematic troubleshooting methodologies to complex technical problems.
• You are capable and willing to learn computer programming (no prior experience necessary, but it is a welcome bonus).
• You are familiar with common industry best practices (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
• You are excited about working in a dynamic fast paced startup environment.

Salaried Position: $60,000 - $65,000
