As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Officer in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all visitors. Your visible presence and customer-focused approach will support a welcoming atmosphere while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and caring.

This is an armed post, and you will play a vital role in delivering reliable and innovative security-related services.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Carry out armed patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including both regular and random checks of the premises and surrounding perimeter.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies as required by site protocols.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior within the location by maintaining a visible presence.
• Document and report observations, incidents, and any unusual activities according to Allied Universal policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed for incidents at the location.
• Support access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as necessary.
• Provide guidance and assistance to visitors and staff regarding security-related matters and site navigation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas roles only.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
