Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) – DHS/FPS – Austin, Texas.

• Perform a variety of security-related duties depending on the post.
• Patrol and monitor exterior and surrounding areas on the premises.
• Control access to entrances and exits for employees and visitors.
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
• Operate magnetometer and X‑ray machines.
• Use two‑way radios for clear and concise communication.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.

• Minimum two (2) years of security experience.
• Valid Security Guard Card.
• Strong knowledge of the security industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑service driven mindset.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of internal and external customers.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Full and Part‑Time position.
• 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekends.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• At least 2 years of college.
• TxDPS Security License (Texas Armed).
• CPR/First Aid certification.

• Reports to the Operations Manager.
