Title: Security Officer – Armed Mall Patrol

Location: Austin, TX

Pay: $26.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site‑specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, utilizing appropriate emergency response actions as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help deter theft, loss prevention issues, and/or disturbances within the retail environment.
• Document and report any incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Interact professionally with store employees, customers, and/or visitors, offering assistance as appropriate while maintaining a visible presence.
• Work collaboratively with store management and local law enforcement as needed to address security‑related concerns and/or incidents.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Minimum 5 years of Armed Security experience, or 3 years of Law Enforcement, Corrections, or Military experience.
• Active Level III Armed Security License.
• Ability to stay alert and focused during shifts.
• Strong communication and observation skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
