Hotel Security Guard

The hotel security guard protects guests, staff, and property by patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to emergencies.

This is a part-time position.

Property Patrols
:
Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of hallways, parking lots, lobbies, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.

Access Control
:
Monitor entry points, check guest or employee credentials, and restrict access to back-of-house or private event spaces.

Emergency Response
:
Respond quickly to disturbances, medical situations, or fire alarms, administering basic first aid or CPR and coordinating with local emergency services when necessary.

Guest Assistance
:
Provide polite, customer-focused service by answering questions, resolving noise complaints, and escorting guests or staff during late hours.

Incident Reporting
:
Maintain detailed logs and write clear reports on daily activities, security breaches, or property damage.

Surveillance Operation
:
Monitor CCTV camera feeds and alarm panels to identify potential safety hazards or suspicious activities.

Education
:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience
:
Prior work in security, law enforcement, military, or the hospitality industry.

Certifications
:
Valid state security guard license (guard card) alongside First Aid and CPR certifications.

Skills
:
Strong verbal de-escalation, conflict resolution, active observation, and clear communication abilities.

Physical Fitness
:
Ability to stand, walk long distances, and patrol large hotel grounds for extended shifts.
