Construction Laborer III
Craft - Austin, TX
McCarthy Building Companies is looking for an experienced Laborer 3 for an exciting healthcare project in Austin, TX. The Laborer supports the completion of projects by assisting carpenters, and other trades professionals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Understands and carries out site project logistics plan (clean up, material storage, water pumping etc.) and safety procedures
* completes Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily
* Operates small construction equipment (10k-12k all-terrain forklift, skid steer, sweeper etc.)
* Assist with traffic control, rigging, spotting, flagging, fire watch etc.
* Dewater equipment set up
* Utilize common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, etc.)
* Complete space and fall arrest training
* Assist other trades when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ year of experience as a laborer in large commercial construction projects
* Identify common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools
* Understand construction terminology
* Work in an organized manner
* Proven commitment to Safety
* Able to work night shifts when needed
* Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site
* Ability to work independently and follow instructions
* Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
* Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
* Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
* Minimum age 18+
* Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
