Domestic Violence Rapid Rehousing Advocate (Grove Campus Resource Center)

SAFE Alliance seeks a DV Rapid Rehousing Advocate for the Community & Housing Services Program in the Supportive Housing & Rapid Rehousing department. This position will carry a caseload of at least 15 households, for up to 24+ months. The advocate will be responsible for completing outreach, intakes, referrals, and service plans while providing client‑driven, trauma‑informed service coordination services to households who live in scattered‑site housing throughout the community.

We are dedicated to ending violence through prevention, advocacy, and comprehensive services for individuals, families, and communities that have been affected by abuse.

In the past two years, our community outreach and education has provided over 400 trainings to over 7,000 community members. Our various housing and shelter programs have provided over 46,000 nights/days of care and served over 3,000 youth and adults directly affected by abuse. We have provided over 10,000 callers/chats/texts, walk‑in advocacy and crisis interventions or face‑to‑face emotional support through our 24/7 confidential SAFEline.

We are looking for one person to work on a full‑time, non‑exempt basis for an annual salary of $49,000-$50,350 dependent upon experience and an additional annual language differential of $3,600 for those who are English/Spanish bilingual. The work location will be based at our Grove Blvd. Campus in the East Austin area. This position will include SOME travel in the community or between campuses and will allow for SOME remote/hybrid work.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred; equivalent lived or work or volunteer experience will be considered.
  • Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, child neglect, stalking, and/or trafficking preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma‑informed care and advocacy best practices.
  • Experience in social services, case management, legal advocacy, or crisis response preferred.
  • Strong crisis intervention, de‑escalation, problem‑solving, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong ethical boundaries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team‑oriented approach.
  • Travel requirements for client services, outreach, and community engagement.
  • May be required to drive agency vehicle.
