About the Role
Communities In Schools of Central Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to removing barriers for students. This full‑time site‑based position calls for a Program Manager to lead CIS services at TA Brown Elementary School, integrating our programming with school activities to empower students, engage parents, and support achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Administration
- Conduct needs assessments and inform program design.
- Maintain relationships with campus personnel and establish student referral processes.
- Implement data management and program evaluation systems.
- Campus Team Management
- Hire, onboard and train team members; set goals and expectations.
- Provide professional development and conduct staff reviews.
- Communicate agency policies and promote a positive team culture.
- Student Services
- Provide individual counseling, facilitate groups, and manage crises.
- Facilitate parent engagement and outreach.
- Execute case management within the CIS team approach.
- Campus and Community Relationships
- Represent CIS at school and community meetings; deliver presentations.
- Organize events and coordinate logistics.
Qualifications
- Elementary school‑level experience.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention, assessments, referrals, and counseling.
- English/Spanish language proficiency (highly preferred).
- Experience managing individuals or teams; case management experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, human services, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and multitasking ability in a dynamic environment.
- Highly self‑motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Current CPR certification (preferred).
- Reliable transportation.

Reporting Structure
This position is supervised by a Program Director for Campus‑Based Services and may oversee Ameri Corps members, interns, or volunteers.
Worksite
Designed for full‑time work at the school campus site, following school hours. Occasional evening work and travel between the Austin administrative office and campus may be required.
