Job SummaryUtilizing a collaborative, innovative, evidence‑informed, trauma‑and‑healing approach, this role engages families and community partners to pursue legal and relational permanency and well‑being for all children and families. Clinical case management and support activities occur primarily in homes and in the community, with virtual options as needed. As a member of the field office management team, you will oversee administrative functions and clinical case management, supervise social workers and other clinical staff, and collaborate with local jurisdictions and stakeholders to maintain referral flows and access to community resources.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Provide overall supervision in clinical, administrative, educational, and support areas; coach staff on permanency, safety, and well‑being; support accountability and quality decision‑making.
- Maintain knowledge of community resources and guide staff in securing those services; act as a change agent to deepen permanency planning for youth at risk.
- Ensure compliance with practice standards, local policies, and licensing requirements; develop proposals, standards, and methods to improve quality of services; promote data‑driven decision‑making.
- Encourage innovative approaches that demonstrate positive outcomes; collaborate with partners to gather and evaluate data; facilitate the spread of best practices.
- Manage after‑hours requests and crises involving youth and families; support staff safety assessment; supervise critical incident reporting; develop tracking mechanisms and safety plans with the Director.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
All responsibilities require effective communication across diverse services, populations, and stakeholders to advance equity, inclusion, and excellence. Collaboration, independent judgment, organizational and analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential.
Qualifications- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field with a clinical internship or practicum; minimum of six years of combined clinical practice and supervisory experience required; five years of public child welfare experience preferred.
- Knowledge of social work practice, theory, trauma‑and‑healing care, and evidence‑based approaches; expertise in prevention, permanency, safety, and well‑being outcomes for youth in care.
- Experience in clinical supervision, coaching, administration, budgeting, office management, project management, and personnel management.
- Commitment to equity, respect for tribal sovereignty, and respect for cultural, racial, and gender lived experience.
- Adaptability, curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to lifelong learning; ability to thrive under high pressure and manage stress.
- Full‑time position requiring field and office presence; full‑time teleworking is not an option.
- Physical ability to lift and reach light objects; proficient use of a computer.
- Confidentiality of sensitive information and adherence to policies and protocols.
- Local travel and occasional out‑of‑town travel may be required; personal vehicle use subject to safety guidelines and insurance requirements.

Salary Range (Austin, TX): $78,795 – $92,700 (typical hiring range). Full salary range: $78,795 – $106,605; placement dependent on skills and experience.
BenefitsComprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; 12 days of annual leave, 12 days of sick leave, 10 paid holidays per year, and a personal holiday per calendar year. Employees meeting tenure qualifiers may receive up to eight weeks of parental leave for birth or placement of a child. After 10 continuous years of full‑time employment, employees may qualify for a three‑month paid sabbatical.
